The tower was first raised without the Bergey XL.1 on top. Raising the tower was tricky because most of the guy wires were replaced and the site was not level.

James stood at the end of the tower and directed the show. Radios were used to communicate the tractor lifting the tower and directions were shouted to the two side guy points to keep constant slack / tension in the cables.
