This is a custom Wind Data Logger station built for the USDA ARS. The Wind Data Logger and solar panel will be on the shore of a animal sewage lagoon. The two anemometers and the temperature sensor will float on a buoy in the lagoon. There is a 200' submersible cable that connects the shore to the bouys.

Extremely rugged cable grips are used to prevent the underwater cable from being pulled out of the enclosure. The yellow Pelican case has clamps on its back to allow it to be attached to the same pole that supports the solar panel.

Breakout box for underwater cable. This box joins the temperature sensor and two anemometers to the underwater cable. It also features a clamp on the back to allow it to be attached to the mast on the bouy.

Two RJ-45 breakout boards are used to convert the 18 gauge submersible wires to RJ-45 connectors. The battery is a 7 amp hour sealed battery.
