APRS World was legally formed in 2006 by James Jarvis. James is educated as a computer engineer, however his passion is making useful products and systems to solve real problems. He has had a passion for renewable energy and has been installing and working with it since high school. With an in house machine and fabrication shop and a sophisticated electronics assembly, testing, and design area, APRS World is equipped to take on a wide variety of projects. We continually invest in equipment to add new capabilities and to improve on existing capabilities.
Somewhat unique to our trade, APRS World not only manufactures equipment, but we also make an effort to have hands on experience installing and running it. Multiple times per year APRS World will take on a field installation projects to gain hands on experience with our products, our partners products, and the environment that our customers use our equipment in. Past field projects have in included grid tied solar installations, complicated mixed solar and wind off grid legacy systems, wind monitoring sites, demonstration solar and wind projects, school weather stations, community wind projects, and more.
