Omega Information
Omega is the most prominent source for all things related to industrial and scientific measurement. They have hundreds of different K type thermocouple probes, extension wire, and connectors.
Useful Omega part numbers and pages:
- NMP-K-M. Male miniature K-type thermocouple connector that mates with the Thermok connectors.
- Transition joint thermocouple listing. For EGT and general purpose temperature measuring we generally use transition joint thermocouples.
- Compression fittings. These fittings allow you to make a gas and liquid tight thermocouple insertion. We use fittings like this along with custom welded in bungs for our exhaust gas temperature measurement.
Clamp in EGT thermocouples
Aircraft Spruce and Specialty carries a wide range of clamp in thermocouples. Make sure that the thermocouple you select is K-type!
Ultralight News (Ontario, Canada) also have inexpensive clamp in thermocouples.
